  • Patent number: 11950868
Abstract: A method is provided for a robotic endoscope system. The method comprises: generating a 3D depth map of an environment surrounding the robotic endoscope system; autonomously actuating a self-propelled base of a robotic support system to a desired location relative to a patient bed based on the 3D depth map, wherein the robotic support system comprises a robotic arm coupled to the self-propelled base at a proximal end and coupled to a flexible endoscope apparatus via an instrument driving mechanism (IDM) at a distal end; and actuating the robotic arm to align the IDM to a component coupled to or part of the patient bed.

  • Patent number: 8959501
Abstract: Embodiments are directed to implementing a generic SIMD data type in software code. In an embodiment, a computer system accesses a portion of software code that includes an algorithm with a generic SIMD data type that includes a variable number of elements. The algorithm with the generic SIMD data type is to be processed by a specific processor that includes various specific hardware features. The computer system determines at runtime a portion of customized processor-specific code that is to be used with the specified processor based on the generic SIMD data type, wherein the runtime determination resolves the number of elements that are to be used with the specified processor. The computer system also processes the software code including the algorithm with the generic SIMD data type using the determined, customized processor-specific code.

  • Patent number: 7829125
Abstract: The present invention relates to a product and method for simultaneously conditioning hair, scalp, hands and fingernails with that product. The ingredients of the product are quinine, orris root, methyl sulfonyl-methane, olive oil, coconut oil, bergamot oil, cinnamon oil, full or Virginia Island bay rum, camphor oil, and optionally panothenic acid mixed together in a petroleum jelly base. Other ingredients can also be added to the product. The product is applied by hand to treat primarily the hair and scalp to which it is applied and secondarily treats the skin and fingernails of the hands of the user when it is applied.

  • Publication number: 20030237080
Abstract: Systems and methods for improving an optimizing compiler are disclosed. A representative compiler, includes: a translation engine and a low-level instruction optimizer, the low-level instruction optimizer further includes a scheduler and register allocator, the scheduler and register allocator comprising: a minimum initiation interval determiner; a modulo scheduler; a rotating register allocator configured to receive a schedule, allocate and assign rotating registers responsive to modulo schedule, and communicate a status of a set of rotating registers; a static register allocator configured to receive the schedule, allocate and assign scalar variables to a set of scalar registers responsive to the modulo schedule and the status; and a rotating register spiller configured to receive and store interfering variables in a memory.

  • Publication number: 20020082825
Abstract: A method for organizing and using a statement library and generating clinical reports is disclosed. The method disclosed may include accessing a first medical statement from a statement library the first medical statement including a first grammatical characteristic identifier. The method may also include accessing a second medical statement from the statement library the second medical statement including a second grammatical characteristic identifier. Further, the method may include identifying the grammatical characteristics of the first and second medical statements and assembling the first medical statement with the second medical statement according to the grammatical characteristics of the first medical statement and the second medical statement, into a text block.

  • Patent number: 6367623
Abstract: An apparatus for storing at least one electronic storage device comprises an enclosure, an overlay, and a removable insert. The enclosure has at least one storage cell and an outer cover. The storage cell is configured to receive at least one electronic storage device. The overlay is attached to the outer cover and includes a first area in which indicia disposed beneath the overlay is visibly exposed. The removable insert is received between the outer cover and the overlay, and has a substantially transparent area that overlaps at least partially with the first area of the overlay.

  • Patent number: 6065114
Abstract: A computer-implemented method of switching contexts in a processor is provided. The processor includes a register stack (RS) that has first and second portions. The processor includes a register stack engine (RSE) to exchange information, in one of instruction execution dependent and independent modes between the second portion and the storage area. The computer implemented method of switching contexts includes the following steps: It is determined whether an interrupt occurred; a first register (IFM) configured to store a content of a second register (CFM) is invalidated, the CFM is configured to store control information related to the first portion; it is determined whether an interrupt handler needs to access the RS; and if so, the IFM is validated, the content of the CFM is copied to the IFM, and RSE is caused to exchange information between both the first and second portions of the RS and the storage area.
