  • Patent number: 9146536
Abstract: The oscillating mass able to be fixed to a frame (1) pivoted on the exterior of a timepiece movement has toothing kinematically connected to the ratchet of a barrel of the timepiece movement. This oscillating mass has, on the one hand, a mount (4) which is annular or is in the form of an annular sector and is able to be fixed to the frame (1) and, on the other hand, a central part (7) located mainly or exclusively in one half of the surface delimited by the mount (4).
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 12, 2012
Date of Patent: September 29, 2015
    Assignee: CARTIER CREATION STUDIO SA
    Inventors: Carole Kasapi, Laurent Dechaumont
  • Patent number: 9134702
Abstract: The mechanism preventing rate variations caused by the effect of gravity on a regulating member (2, 3) of a timepiece movement comprises a regulating member comprising a balance-spring (2) and an escapement wheel (3) which are mounted on a platform (4). This platform (4) comprises an unbalance and is mounted so as to freely rotate about at least one first axis (A-A) with respect to a plate (1) of the movement so that the platform (4) rotates about said first axis (A-A) under the effect of the Earth's gravity. The mechanism comprises a going train comprising a kinematic drive chain (M) arranged to connect the escapement wheel (3) to a barrel system (10) of the timepiece as well as a kinematic correcting chain (C) which compensates for the displacements and speed of the platform (4) with respect to the plate (1).

Abstract: The mechanism preventing rate variations caused by the effect of gravity on a regulating member of a timepiece movement includes a regulating member having a balance-spring and an escapement wheel which are mounted on a platform. This platform includes an unbalance and is mounted so as to freely rotate about at least one first axis with respect to a plate of the movement so that the platform rotates under the effect of the Earth's gravity. The mechanism includes a going train including a kinematic drive chain arranged to connect the escapement wheel to a barrel system of the timepiece and a kinematic correcting chain which compensates for the displacements and speed of the platform with respect to the plate. This mechanism further includes a regulator device including a regulator member connected to the platform and driven by the relative movements between the platform and the plate of the timepiece movement.

  • Patent number: 8075177
Abstract: The mechanism avoids the rate variations due to the effect of gravitation on a regulating organ of a timepiece whose regulating organ includes a sprung balance and an escape wheel mounted onto a platform. The platform includes a counterweight and is mounted so as to freely rotate about at least a first axis relative to a plate of the movement so that this platform will rotate about the first axis under the effect of terrestrial gravitation. This mechanism includes a wheelwork with a driving kinematical chain linking the escape wheel to a barrel system of the timepiece, and a corrective kinematical chain compensating the movements and speed of the platform relative to the plate, so that these movements of the platform will not perturb the chronometry of the timepiece.

  • Publication number: 20060187760
Abstract: Watch including a movement that incorporates a tourbillon mechanism having a single cage (13, 18, 22) holding the balance (15), this cage (13, 18, 22) rotating about an axis (X-X) forming an angle with the plane of the watch movement. The axis of rotation of the balance (15) forms an angle essentially perpendicular with the axis of rotation (X-X) of the cage (13, 18, 22).
