Abstract: A crib accessory and assembly comprising a bumper portion comprising: an outer panel, an inner panel, and a padding disposed between the outer and the inner panels. At least one of the outer and the inner panels comprises a plurality of slits distributed along a portion of a length of the respective panel, and an attachment element is looped through at least a portion of the plurality of slits. The attachment element comprises a terminal end comprising a securing element, wherein the securing element attaches the attachment element to a receiving portion located on at least one of the outer and inner panels. The crib accessory further comprises a mattress cover comprising a bottom side flanked by a side wall, wherein the side wall connects the bottom side of the mattress cover to the bumper portion.
