Abstract: A system for capturing person-related accident data in a vehicle, comprising at least one camera for capturing image data of at least one vehicle occupant, the camera being designed as a high-speed camera, a circular memory for storing the captured image data, and a control unit, which is designed to receive an accident commencement signal. The control unit controls the circular memory and/or the camera in such a way that the storing of the image data is ended at the end time, the end time lying after the receipt of the accident commencement signal by a predefined time interval. The person-related accident data comprise at least the image data stored in the circular memory.
