  • Publication number: 20250013612
Abstract: A distributed storage system is provided on a wireless local area network formed by a plurality of peer mesh storage devices simultaneously wirelessly connected together. Each peer mesh storage device includes a computing processor, a communication transceiver, and a data storage drive. Upon receiving a first data file from a user device connected to the local area network at one of a plurality of peer mesh storage devices, the system stores the first data file on the data storage drive of one or more of the plurality of mesh storage devices. Upon receipt of a request from a user device for storage of a second data file on the system, the second data file is retrieved from storage on the data storage drive of one or more of the plurality of mesh storage devices and is transmitted over the local area network to the user device.

  • Publication number: 20240177623
Abstract: An educational service for tutoring, testing, and auto-grading is provided within a computer network. A first computing or smart device connected within the computer network is controlled to present a test question using an output component of the computing or smart device. Either the first computing or smart device or a second computing or smart device connected within the computer network is controlled to receive a response to the test question using an input component of either the first or second computing or smart device. The received response by the input component is transformed into a digital file. A recognition algorithm is applied to the digital file of the received response to parse the received response. The parsed received response is processed to determine an accuracy of the response to the test question.

  • Publication number: 20240064489
Abstract: A process for detecting motion within an environment includes receiving, at a monitor, first coupling data for a coupling of a first node with a second node. The first node is coupled to the second node which is further coupled to the monitor and thereby form a mesh network. The operations may include: at the monitor, receiving first node identifying data, selecting a first median for a first signal property for a first wireless coupling, monitoring the first signal property, determining, upon detecting a change in the first signal property, whether the first signal property exceeds the first median, determining, when the first signal property exceeds the first median, if the change in the first signal property exceeds a first threshold, initiating a first action when the first threshold is exceeded, and determining whether to resume monitoring of the first signal property when the first threshold is not exceeded.

  • Publication number: 20240040356
Abstract: A process may include detecting an incident within a building, determining a first radius of a user device from a node by wirelessly coupling the user device and the node, determining the first radius based on a signal property of the coupling; determining a second radius of the user device from a second node by wireless coupling the user device and the second node and based on a signal property of the second coupling; determining a third radius of the user device from a third node by wireless coupling the user device and the third node, and based on a third signal property of the coupling; and first calculating, based on the first radius, the second radius, and the third radius, a current location of the first user device within the building. The first node may be a node for a Wi-Fi mesh system.

  • Publication number: 20230360176
Abstract: Devices, systems, and processes for enhancing visible data are described. A process includes computer operations for initiating a visible data capture on a user device; capturing, as first visible data (1VD), an image of an object within a field of view of a camera; determining whether the 1VD includes recognizable data; when recognizable data exists in the 1VD, generating second visible data (2VD) from the 1VD; determining whether actionable data exists in the 2VD; manipulating the actionable data in the 2VD into third visible data (3VD); coupling the user device with a client device; and sending the 3VD to the client device for presentation on a client device display. The 3VD may include an enhancement to the actionable data in the 2VD. The enhancement may change a character from a first font size to a second font size and/or adjust a visible characteristic of the 2VD.

  • Publication number: 20230362197
Abstract: Systems, media devices, machine-readable media, and methods facilitate endpoint media device controls. Data streams may be processed as each is received by devices of a local network. The data streams may facilitate presentation of audio, video, and/or textual content with an endpoint media device. For each data stream, a security protocol may be detected that applies to the data stream based on of the source, the endpoint media device, an identification of a user, and/or a time corresponding to when the data stream is being received. It may be determined, during streaming of the data stream, whether the data stream includes a particular composite specified by the security protocol. When it is determined that the data stream includes the particular composite, security operations may be performed in accordance with the security protocol.

  • Publication number: 20230328005
Abstract: Systems, devices and methods are described for facilitating gateway prioritization. A system includes a gateway, a first node, and a second node coupled by an internal link. The gateway instantiates an allocator which allocates a link characteristic of the internal link based on a first resource request by the first node and in view of a second resource request by the second node. The requests identify a link characteristic for the internal link. The allocator allocates the link characteristic between the first node and the second node based on a ranking of the first node and the second node. The first link characteristic may be an internal link bandwidth. An ISP server is coupled by an external link to the gateway. The external link includes an external link characteristic which the first resource request identifies and the allocator allocates in view thereof.
