  • Patent number: 9167013
Abstract: In one aspect, the teachings herein address the changing network capacity requirements that arise in electronic conferencing systems not hosted in a fully dedicated network using a clever prioritization scheme that is determined in view of which source streams (26) available in the electronic conference are being used by respective conference clients (22) and how they are being used by those clients (22). In one non-limiting example, the electronic conference is a video conference managed by an electronic conferencing server (10) in a host network (20).

  • Patent number: 9064160
Abstract: An arrangement 100, 150, and corresponding method, which arrangement is configured to recognize a conference participant 101-103, 151-153 who is currently talking during a conference session The arrangement comprises an identifying unit 120, 170 including a biometric detector 121, 171 adapted to capture at least one biometric characteristic of the participant 101-103, 151-153, and a comparison unit 122, 172 adapted to compare the biometric characteristic to stored biometric characteristics in a database 110, 160, each stored characteristic being associated with an owner identity. The arrangement also comprises a display enabler 123, 173 adapted to, when a match is found between the captured biometric characteristic of the participant 101-103, 151-153 and a stored biometric characteristic in the—database 110, 160, enable display of the identity associated with the matching participant to other participants 101-103, 151-153, 140 in the conference session.

  • Publication number: 20150127746
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for activating remote access, the method performed in a collaboration node of a communication system. The communication system includes a first node and a second node having an established communication link them between. The method includes receiving, from the first node, object identification information including information identifying an object; obtaining, from a communication context node, context information of the established communication link; analyzing the obtained context information and the received object identification information to determine a relation between the context information and the object identification information; activating, for the second node, remote access related to the object based on the determined relation between the context information and the object identification information. The invention also relates to a collaboration node, methods in a first node, a first node, computer programs and computer program products.

  • Patent number: 8908878
Abstract: Arrangements in a device for use with a service involving play out of audio from a headset are provided. The arrangements include an application for providing the play out of audio to a user of the device. The application has at least two modes of operation including first and second active modes. In the first active mode, the headset is in full physical contact with the user. In the second active mode, the headset may not be in full physical contact with the user. The application is configured to switch between the first and second modes of operation based on whether the headset is detected to be in full physical contact with the user. In the first active mode, the user is entitled to full use and/or operation of the service. In the second active mode, the user is entitled to modified use and/or operation of the service. Related methods are also provided.
