Abstract: An improved shackle assembly is disclosed that provides a bow having specially configured receptacle on one end portion that interlocks with a specially configured pin assembly. The pin assembly has locking members or lugs that move between locking and releasing positions. The locking lugs can be moved to a locking position or unlocked using a rotating end portion of the shaft opposite the receptacle.

Abstract: An eyebolt anchor apparatus provides a fixture that is preferably mounted flush with the deck of a structure to which vehicles, equipment packages, aircraft or the like are to be supported and maintained in their position with tie down straps, such straps can span between the aircraft, vehicle or package and the anchor apparatus. The tie down straps are supported at the deck level with an anchor bolt that can be stored below deck in a fixture that is part of the anchor bolt apparatus. The fixture has a hatch that is movable between opened and closed positions. The eyebolt can be stored below deck in a hatch interior for storage or removed and installed above on the upper surface of the fixture when in use.

Abstract: A tie down or strap anchor apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus provides a housing that can be mounted flush with a deck, floor or the like. A connector removably attaches to the housing by depressing a piston downwardly. When not in use, the connector is removed and a spring urges the piston.

Abstract: A vehicle cargo transport apparatus is disclosed that provides a vehicle having a cargo deck having a plurality of beams, the beams being preferably positioned flush with the cargo deck, each beam having one or more beam openings or sockets. There are preferably first and second pairs of the beams. The first pair is preferably a pair of parallel beams. The beams of the second pair are preferably parallel. At least two of the beams are generally perpendicular to one another. Eyebolt like connectors attach to the beam openings, preferably by interlocking a lower end portion of the connector with a beam at a beam opening or socket. Specially configured straps employ cables and foam core sleeves. The sleeves can be color coded to indicate the nature of the cargo.
