  • Patent number: 11178263
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention relate to methods and systems for processing a network data block. One or more embodiments of the invention include receiving network data at a receiver/transmitter comprising a serializer/deserializer (SERDES). One or more embodiments of the invention include identifying, by the PHY, a start of a data block within the network data. One or more embodiments of the invention include performing, by the SERDES and after identifying the start of the data block, a SERDES action to obtain a SERDES data block. In one or more embodiments of the invention, the SERDES action is based on an encoding scheme used in transmission of the network data. One or more embodiments of the invention include also includes transmitting the SERDES data block towards a receiver.

  • Publication number: 20040228077
Abstract: A laptop computer has a height adjustable monitor and document holder to allow for ergonomic viewing. The height adjustable monitor and document holder can be utilized as separate entities and can be incorporated in laptop or desktop computers. The actuating system for the height adjustable monitor comprises a small diameter motor that is used to power a lightweight, high mechanical advantage gear train comprising a worm gear system and “lifter gears” with an “eccentric pin” drive to raise or lower the monitor, and also features a built-in locking mechanism. The actuating system has been designed to fit within currently produced laptop cases. A “split-housing” design is used so that the monitor and frame moves independently of the rear lid. The document holder resides in a storage compartment resting on the top surface of the monitor and comprises thin rectangular members that retract from the side of the compartment through a spring-release mechanism.
