  • Patent number: 11208940
Abstract: A process for manufacturing a muffler for an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine, provides a manufactured muffler with a muffler housing with a housing jacket (14) that is elongated in a direction of a housing longitudinal axis and with at least one housing bottom (26) carried on the housing jacket (14). The process includes the steps of providing the housing jacket (14) with a stop formation (50) in association with at least one housing bottom (26) to be carried on the housing jacket (14), providing the at least one housing bottom (26) to be carried on the housing jacket (14), and positioning the at least one housing bottom (26) on the housing jacket (14) such that the housing bottom (26) is in contact with the stop formation (50) associated with the housing bottom (26).

  • Patent number: 9410471
Abstract: An exhaust system component (1), for an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine, includes a metallic first part (3), which is inserted into a metallic second part (2), such that an inner jacket section (7) of the first part (3) is arranged coaxially in an outer jacket section (5) of the second part (2), as well as at least one weld joint (10), which permanently connects the outer jacket section (5) to the inner jacket section (7). To simplify the assembly of the parts (2, 3) with one another, a plurality of centering contours (11, 12) are formed integrally on the outer jacket section (5), projecting inwardly, and/or are formed integrally on the outer jacket section (7), projecting outwardly, and are located at spaced locations from one another in the circumferential direction (6). The centering contours center the inner jacket section (7) in the outer jacket section (5).

  • Patent number: 7455336
Abstract: In the case of a locking device (1), in particular for a vehicle seat, with a housing (3); a latch (11) which is arranged in the housing (3), is pivotably mounted on a first bearing element (13) and is intended for locking with a mating element (B); and at least one securing element (25, 27) which is likewise arranged in the housing (3), is pivotably mounted on a second bearing element (23) and secures a locked state by interaction with the latch (11), the housing (3) has at least one insert (6) of a higher strength material, and at least one of the bearing elements (13, 23) and the insert (6) are joined together and are at least partially encased by a softer material, forming the housing (3).

  • Patent number: 7188906
Abstract: In the case of a locking mechanism (1) for a vehicle seat, in particular for a motor vehicle seat, having an open housing (5), a latch (11) which is mounted pivotably on the housing (5) and is intended for locking with a mating element (B), and at least one securing element (25, 31) which is likewise mounted pivotably on the housing (5) and, by interaction with the latch (11), secures a locked state, the locking mechanism (1) is attachable to a structural part (41), and the structural part (41) forms the cover for the substantial closing of the housing (5).
