  • Publication number: 20030174687
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the transmission of data between a number of user stations (MS1, MS2), using a common timeslot of a series of frames and a base station (BS1). The base station (BS1) transmits user data destined for a first of the user stations (MS1) and control information for a second user station (MS2) in a given timeslot, whereby the control information is encoded with a stronger error protection than the user data. A radio signal emitted in the given timeslot directed at the first user station (MS1) is superimposed with a second radio signal, the transmission power of which is sufficient to reach in the direction of the second user station (MS2), in order to permit a precise reception of the control information. The second signal can either be multiplexed or not.

  • Publication number: 20030076896
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the linearization of a high-frequency high-capacity amplifier by means of adaptive digital predistortion of the input signals of the amplifier (5) by determining correctional values that are approximated from DESIRED sender signals detected at the amplifier input and ACTUAL sender signals detected at the amplifier output. To this end, I/Q data continuously derived from the DESIRED sender signals at the digital base band modulator (1) and I/Q data derived by a measuring unit (4) at the amplifier output from the ACTUAL sender signals are fed to a neuronal network for evaluation and for the calculation of correctional values.

  • Publication number: 20030070129
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the packet-oriented data transmission in a radio communication system. According to the inventive method, data to be transmitted are split into data blocks, encoded, transmitted via a radio interface and decoded. Transmission attempts that might have failed are recognized during decoding. An information (RSM) that characterizes a repeated data block transmission and/or information (AMB) that characterizes a first transmission mode or a second transmission mode are entered in a data block before said data block is transmitted via the radio interface.
