  • Patent number: 11544074
Abstract: A method and a device for configuring a hardware component, in particular of a configurable safe input/output module, includes using a configuration program that is designed to display a graphical user interface on a display apparatus that is connected to a data processing system, which user interface provides function blocks having inputs and outputs. By way of the method and the device, two function blocks can be interconnected so as to form a combined function block having at least one input and one output, at least one of the inputs or outputs of the first function block and at least one of the inputs or outputs of the second function block forming at least two of the inputs/outputs of the combined function block.

  • Patent number: 11294345
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a modular safety switching apparatus for controlling a plurality of electrical devices, comprising: a first safety switching module comprising a first switching signal output configured to control a first electrical device; a second safety switching module comprising a second switching signal output configured to control a second electrical device; and a connection element configured to electrically connect the first safety switching module to the second safety switching module; wherein the second safety switching module is downstream in signal transmission to the first safety switching module, and wherein the first safety switching module is configured to be deactivated in response to receiving a first control signal and is further configured to feed a second control signal to the second safety switching module to deactivate the second safety switching module.

  • Patent number: 10691079
Abstract: The invention relates to a safe electronic device which has multichannel logic circuitry, a single channel input device, an output device, and a storage device. Data items, each of which is associated with an input value, are stored in the storage device. The multichannel logic circuitry is comprised of a first control unit and a second control unit. The first control unit reads in an input value which has been input, and transmits the input value to the second control unit which actuates the output device for outputting of optical and/or acoustic information, in response to the input value which has been input. If the optical and/or acoustic information corresponds to the input value, the selected data item is released for further use.
