  • Patent number: 11765427
Abstract: A method and system are described wherein a terminal sends, to a server, a video request message that includes an identifier of a virtual reality (VR) video. The VR video comprises N sub-bitstreams. The terminal receives a video response message sent by the server. The video response message indicates multicast addresses respectively corresponding to the N sub-bitstreams, and the terminal determines a target sub-bitstream based on a current field of view of a user, and obtains the target sub-bitstream based on a multicast address corresponding to the target sub-bitstream. The multicast address is one of the multicast addresses, and the target sub-bitstream comprises at least one sub-bitstream of the N sub-bitstreams.

  • Publication number: 20130304875
Abstract: A process for requesting information, the process including generating a plurality of range requests using a client having a plurality of network interfaces, the range requests each corresponding to a data range of a data resource, transmitting, from the client having the plurality of network interfaces, a plurality of range requests to a server via the plurality of network interfaces, receiving, at the client and from the server, a plurality of segments via the plurality of network interfaces such that each segment is received via a network interface which transmitted the corresponding range request, each segment including a portion of the data resource, and reassembling the data resource using the plurality of segments.

  • Patent number: 6681367
Abstract: The invention relates to objects within a computer-system said objects comprise object data and the invention relates to a specification of an object-specific, self-reflecting relevance-function associated with the objects. The specification of the relevance-function allows an object-exploiter to evaluate an object-relevance at a certain point in time without inspecting the object-data.
