  • Patent number: 12151863
Abstract: Provided is a single material plastic push-through blister pack for food and pharmaceutical packaging and a method of making thereof. The blister package may be produced by thermoforming polymer films for the cavity and a cavitated polymer film made from the same class of polymer comparatively lower thickness for the substrate or lid. To facilitate the push through breaking, the polymer film used as the lidding film may be modified to a microcavitated film by creating micro-voids/cavities and micro-brittleness within the polymer matrix. These micro-voids/cavities, and/or embedded microcrystalline particles present in the polymer matrix of the lidding film, may create internal cracks in the film by application of a small external force, which may then result in rupturing of the lid film to dispense a product from the cavity of the blister pack.

  • Publication number: 20240190634
Abstract: Provided are a blister package and a method of making thereof. The blister package includes a rupturable substrate; and a blister layer overlayed by the substrate, thereby making a cavity between the rupturable substate and the blister layer. The rupturable substrate at least partially forms an engraving or etching that reduces push through force required for dispensing a product stored inside the cavity for customer dispensing. The rupturable substate and the blister layer are made of the same or same class plastic or polymer thereby making the blister package recyclable.

  • Patent number: 7244812
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for reducing the amount of residual monomers in aqueous polymer dispersions means of chemical post-treatment. Post-treatment in the aqueous polymer dispersion is carried out by adding a redox system which contains a) 0.005-5 wt. % of an oxidation agent which contains an organic peroxide. and b) 0.005-5 wt. % of a reduction agent which contains sulfinic acids or salts thereof. Additionally the redox system can, optionally, contain catalytic amounts of a polyvalent metallic ion which can be treated in several valent stages. Post-treatment can be carried out at a temperature ranging from 20-100.degree. C. and at a PH-value ranging from 2-9. The invention also relates to the use of the inventive post-treated polymer dispersion for producing adhesives, coatings, powders, constructive chemical products or for refining textiles or paper.

  • Patent number: 7078455
Abstract: The present invention relates to aqueous plastic material dispersions based on vinyl ester copolymers, having a solids content of up to 80% by weight and a minimum film formation temperature below 20° C., which is substantially stabilized by ionic components, the vinyl ester copolymers containing at least one homo- or copolymer A and at least one homo- or copolymer B, methods for producing the same and the use thereof.

  • Publication number: 20050124759
Abstract: The invention relates to aqueous coating agents containing binding agents and at least one aqueous plastic dispersion, based on one homopolymer and/or copolymer that is/are derived from ?,? unsaturated compounds (M). Said coating agents also contain at least one protective colloid containing hydroxyl groups and comprising ethylenically unsaturated groups and optionally additional feed material that is conventionally used for producing coating agents. According to the invention, the protective colloid contains ethylenically unsaturated groups in a quantity that is expressed as the molar degree of substitution MS of unsaturated groups, Runsaturated, ranging between 0.001 and 1.0. The invention also relates to a method for producing said coating agents and to their use for producing thixotropic coating agents by the addition of thixotroping agents, in particular metal chelates.
