  • Publication number: 20120007377
Abstract: Trim component for the interior of a motor vehicle, in particular floor lining component for a loading platform of a motor vehicle, with a cassette profile layer in which a plurality of cavities are formed, which are open towards a supporting or abutting side of the trim component and on the opposite use surface of the trim component, are sealed by an airtight use layer which rests on the use surface of the trim component, or by an airtight surface of the cassette profile layer, wherein the cavities of the cassette profile layer are filled with air and wherein the columns of air enclosed in the cassette profile layer, form in connection with the use layer an acoustic spring-mass system.

  • Publication number: 20050202181
Abstract: A method and a device for applying a filler-containing plastics layer to even a shaped surface, in which a mixture containing a binder or a binder mixture and a filler is sprayed onto the surface, a free jet for application by spraying first being generated from a binder or binder mixture and the filler then being added to the free jet of the not yet polymerized binder or binder mixture. The method is particularly suitable for the spray application of heavy layers such as those used in conventional mass-spring systems.

  • Patent number: 6420447
Abstract: The invention relates to a viscoelastic damping foam with an adhesive surface for adhesion coupling to vibrating surfaces, for solid-borne sound absorption. The viscoelastic damping foam is obtained through the stoichiometric reaction of a polyisocyanate with at least two polyols of the polyether type which are incompatible with one another.

  • Patent number: 6228478
Abstract: For manufacturing a composite foam, having acoustic properties, foam flakes (8) of differing sizes, differing origins, and/or differing material compositions are wetted with a small quantity of a polyurethane dispersion binding agent. The mixture is subsequently combined to a molded part (1) or to continuous web and under the effect of hot (water) steam or microwave energy is cured and subsequently dried. The composite foam can be used for sound insulation purposes in vehicles and in general machinery construction, and also in building construction.

  • Patent number: 5185380
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for recycling thermosetting polyurethane soft foams in which they are comminuted in a mill, irrespective of their initial shape, density and structure, and are then pressed under the influence of pressure and elevated temperatures to high-strength sheets of various structures.
