  • Patent number: 9792162
Abstract: Network system being configured to execute I/O commands and application commands in parallel and comprising a network and at least one network node, wherein the at least one network node is connected to the network via a network adapter and is configured to run several processes and/or threads in parallel, wherein the at least one network node comprises or is configured to establish a common communication channel (C-channel) to be used by the several processes and/or threads for data communication with the network via the network adapter, wherein the C-channel comprises or is established to comprise a work queue (WQ) for execution of I/O commands and a completion queue (CQ) for indication of a status of I/O commands, and wherein the at least one network node, especially its comprised or to be established C-channel, is configured for an exclusive access of precisely one single process or thread out of the several processes and/or threads to the CQ of the C-channel at a particular time.

  • Patent number: 8014568
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for computer-aided identification of the child octants of a parent octant, which are intersected by a beam, in an octree data tree. The method firstly determines the number of the child octants of the parent octant which are intersected by the beam and, on the basis thereof, the child octants of the parent octant which are intersected by the beam. It is characterized in that, for determination of intermediate octants which do not correspond to the entry and the exit octant and nevertheless are intersected by the beam, look-up tables are used for identification.

  • Publication number: 20100017802
Abstract: The present invention relates to a network system having a large number of network elements which are connected via network connections and also to a method for controlling address spaces which exist in parallel. Network systems and methods of this type are required in order to organise distributed memories in an efficient manner which are connected via network connections, in particular in order to accelerate the memory access in the case of parallel distributed computing.
