  • Patent number: 6850139
Abstract: The invention relates to a system for pulse magnetizing high-precision magnetic scales. The system comprises a shaped current conductor (1) and a pulse current source (2) that is composed of a capacitor bank (3), a transfer switch (4) and a control unit (5). The compact set-up of the system is the prerequisite for a power circuit that has such a low resistance that the required high pulse currents are obtained at supply voltages of below 60 V. The transfer switch is an H bridge with four switches (7) that contain equal numbers of MOS transistors connected in parallel. The short pulse times that are achieved using the MOS transistors allow the use of shaped current conductors with which magnetized areas can be produced with a very high precision. The inventive system provides a means for saving components, electric power and time by a factor of up to 100.

  • Patent number: 5931375
Abstract: Energy exchanger valve (8) with thermostat valve (12), a housing (9) with inlet (20) and outlet (21), a thermostat bellows displaceable spindle (30) with seal (42) which, by the expansion/contraction of the thermostat bellows and against the pressure of a surrounding spring (31) can close/open an opening (27) with a seating (27a) in a transverse wall (24) between the inlet (20) and the outlet (21), and a piston (13) controlled by differential pressure for the control of a medium's differential pressure across a pre-setting (11) and a thermostat valve (12) consisting of the seating (27a) and the seal (42) between the inlet (20) and the piston (13), the thermostat valve (12) being able to cut off the flow between the inlet and the outlet independently of the pre-setting (11). With the valve (8), only a predetermined maximum amount of the energy-carrying medium flows through the energy exchangers (5).

  • Patent number: 5860591
Abstract: Energy exchanger, valve (8) with thermostat valve (12), a housing (9) with inlet (15) and outlet (16), a thermostat bellows displaceable spindle (42) with a seal (32) which, against the pressure of a spring (43) surrounding the spindle (42), closes/opens an opening (28) in a transverse wall (29) in the housing (9) between the inlet (15) and the outlet (16), and a membrane (17, 21) controlled by the differential pressure for the control of an energy-carrying medium between the inlet (15) and the outlet (16), and an adjustable closing element (11) between the inlet (15) and the membrane (17, 21), the thermostat valve (12) being able to shut off the flow between the inlet (15) and the outlet (16) independently of the closing element (11). With the valve (8), only a predetermined maximum amount of the medium flows through the energy exchangers (5). If the differential pressure increases upon the closing of one or more valves on a pipe length, the flow in the individual energy exchanger (5) is not increased.
