  • Patent number: 9114755
Abstract: A control device for a first motor vehicle, and for dimming lights for vehicles ahead and/or oncoming vehicles during turning maneuvers includes a first interface with a recognition device for the purpose of recognizing vehicles ahead and/or oncoming vehicles, a second interface with headlights, wherein the control device selects different light distributions of the headlights and generates an adjusting signal at the second interface for adjusting the selected light distribution at the headlights to dim the headlights if a signal is present at the first interface indicating at least one vehicle ahead or oncoming. The control device has a third interface for indicating the start of the recognition of a turning maneuver of a vehicle ahead, wherein the dimmed light distribution of the headlights remains set for a predetermined distance or a predetermined time if the signal is present.

  • Patent number: 8862335
Abstract: Device for the control of vertical cut-off lines for headlamps of a motor vehicle within a swivel range, wherein the control device (10) has a first input (12) for a first signal, which indicates the direction referring to a longitudinal axis (1) of the motor vehicle, in which the motor vehicle (F1) meets the oncoming light source of a motor vehicle (F2) or in which it moves in front of the motor vehicle (F1) in the same direction of travel, wherein the control device is suitable and equipped for the generation of a control signal for the right-hand headlamp (50) and a control signal for the left-hand headlamp (40) of the motor vehicle (F1) for the adjustment of a vertical cut-off line depending on the first signal, with which a right-hand vertical cut-off line and a left-hand vertical cut-off line can be adjusted to eliminate the dazzling effect on an oncoming motor vehicle (F2) or a motor vehicle (F2) driving ahead, wherein the control device (10) is suitable and equipped for the adjustment of the right

  • Publication number: 20130286672
Abstract: A method for the adjustment of at least one light device, particularly of a motor vehicle, wherein the light device serves to generate a first light distribution, wherein the first light distribution has a bright/dark boundary (which has defined coordinates on a measurement wall when the light device is optimally adjusted. According to the invention, for this purpose, the camera detects at least one feature of the bright/dark boundary on an arbitrary measurement wall, and the light device is adjusted according to the detected feature.
