  • Publication number: 20240113974
Abstract: Mobile management method, system and client. Method includes receiving a DNS query for a host name from an application on client; retrieving reputation data associated with host name from a local cache on client; and determining a policy based on host name and the reputation data. Based on determined policy for the host name, blocking attempted network flows to a host corresponding to host name to produce blocked attempted network flows. Method also includes sending attempted network flow metadata related to the blocked attempted network flows to a collector on client; transmitting the attempted network flow metadata from the collector to a VPN server pool via a VPN tunnel; and producing an anomaly report from the transmitted attempted network flow metadata. The anomaly report includes at least one of anomalies, cohorts, trends, location boundaries, detected network security issues, detected compromised clients and/or optimized network usage.

  • Publication number: 20230304934
Abstract: Methods and systems for imaging a sample using fluorescence microscopy. High resolution lenses can be used for light sheet microscopy by tilting the excitation beam relative to the imaging optical axis. The excitation beam can be tilted using mirrors, instead of lenses, to generate the tilted illumination sheet. In some examples, a light path starts at a top downward-facing cone of light as it emerges from an optic fiber; a first off-axis parabolic mirror collimates in the x-axis, while a second off-axis parabolic mirror collimates in the y-axis, followed by the photomask to create four primary light sheets, which are then focused by a third off-axis parabolic mirror. As the four primary light sheets converge they create an interference pattern at an objective lens.

Abstract: Mobile management method and system. The method includes receiving from an application on a client a DNS query for a host name; retrieving reputation data associated with the host name from a local cache on the client; determining whether a policy associated with the host name and the reputation data associated with the host name exists; and one of: sending network flows one of: through a VPN tunnel to a server or out a local proxy on the client to a private or public network; or blocking the network flow based on the determined policy for the host name.

  • Publication number: 20230014799
Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods for imaging samples. In some examples, a device includes at least two basins for holding a liquid medium, the at least two basins including a sample chamber and a reservoir. The device includes a wedge between the sample chamber and the reservoir, and the wedge protrudes into the sample chamber and defines a space between the wedge and a bottom of the sample chamber. The space is sized for holding one or more biological samples. The device is formed to define a flow channel between the sample chamber and the reservoir, and the flow channel is shaped to allow the passage of the liquid medium from the sample chamber and the reservoir and to block passage of the one or more biological samples between the sample chamber and the reservoir.

  • Publication number: 20220244560
Abstract: Methods for imaging a sample using fluorescence microscopy, systems for imaging a sample using fluorescence microscopy, and illumination systems for fluorescence microscopes. In some examples, a method includes positioning the sample such that a plane of interest of the sample is coplanar with a focal plane of a detection objective of a microscope; positioning a mirror around the sample; directing a beam of annularly collimated excitation light on the mirror to focus a disc of light on the sample; and imaging the sample through the detection objective.

  • Patent number: 9253583
Abstract: Fitting a sound processing device for an individual is automated using a computer. Fitting and customization is carried out using natural sounds without specialized audiometric equipment or audiological expertise. Software for this purpose is downloaded from an internet portal. The computer plays back acoustic signals, and obtains user input reflecting the user's perceptions of the acoustic signals, from which a hearing map is derived, representing the user's hearing. An algorithm updates the device fitting based on the hearing map. Also provided is pre-sale virtual device fitting, whereby a virtual signal processing path is established in the computer, reflecting a signal processing function of a sound processing device of interest to the user. An algorithm updates parameters of the virtual processing path, based on the hearing map. Audio signals passed through the virtual processing path are played back to the user, giving the user an acoustic indication of future device performance.
