  • Publication number: 20240109378
Abstract: A modular tire pressure leak detection system includes a tire that supports a vehicle and a sensor unit mounted on the tire. The sensor unit detects real-time tire parameters inside the tire and transmits the parameters to a processor. A plurality of modules are in electronic communication with the processor. The plurality of modules include a pre-processing module that receives the parameters and applies a set of operations to generate pressure time series data, a leak detection module that receives the pressure time series data and determines a leak rate of the tire, and a post-processing module that receives the leak rate of the tire and analyzes the leak rate of the tire with determinations from a plurality of conditions. A leak alert is issued by the post-processing module based upon the analysis of the leak rate of the tire and the determinations from the plurality of conditions.

  • Publication number: 20210272185
Abstract: A method for managing the servicing of vehicles in a fleet includes using a mobile device associated with a vehicle to be serviced to contact a fleet call center. The contact is received and a service request is opened in the fleet call center. A local servicer is identified, and information in the service request is sent to a data device of a service technician of the local servicer. Upon completion of servicing of the vehicle, a notification of completion of the service request is sent to a service administrator. The notification is validated to generate a completed service request, and information in the completed service request is sent from the service administrator to an approver of a fleet operations unit. The completed service request is approved at the fleet operations unit, and a purchase order is generated and transmitted from the fleet operations unit to the service administrator.

  • Patent number: 8805419
Abstract: A method and apparatus to manage a service request involves the use of a smart phone's ability to communicate GPS information over the internet. A customer in need of roadside service can submit a roadside service request through a mobile web site or mobile application, and can provide location information through the smart phone's GPS receiver. Should the system not have a location for the customer, a unique URL can be created that identifies the service request and sent for the customer to access on the smart phone, which allows the web server to request the smart phone's GPS location and automatically associate it with the correct service request.
