    Abstract: An electrical connector includes a housing holding a contact configured for mating with a mating connector. The housing has a deflectable latch configured for latching engagement with the mating connector. The latch is movable from a resting position to an actuated position. The electrical connector also includes a latch lock separate and discrete from the housing. The latch lock being coupled to the housing such that the latch lock blocks the latch from moving from the resting position to the actuated position.
