  • Patent number: 11774302
Abstract: A sensor apparatus, such as a pressure gauge, comprises a sensor arranged to produce a sensor output signal that varies with a measured parameter such as pressure, and a plurality of output channels each arranged to receive the sensor output signal. The output channels are each optimized for a different range of the measured parameter. The apparatus further comprises an analog to digital converter (ADC) and control module arranged to select one of the output channels and connect it to the ADC so as to produce a digital channel output, and an output module configured to generate an output reading from the digital channel output of the selected channel.

  • Patent number: 7874196
Abstract: A pressure calibration pump comprises a manifold having a port for connection to a reference device and a port for connection to a device to be calibrated. A piston is operated by two handles to pressurize air in the manifold. A pressure adjustment knob is provided to adjust the pressure of air in the manifold and a vent valve, operated by a vent knob is provided to vent air from the manifold. The vent knob is positioned within and concentric with the adjustment knob.

  • Publication number: 20100024517
Abstract: This invention is a pressure gauge designed to measure pressure over a very wide range of pressures, while maintaining a very high accuracy throughout the range. This invention reduces the number of gauges someone would need to accurately measure pressure over a wide range.

  • Publication number: 20090025797
Abstract: The pump described below is used for pneumatic pressure calibration, to generate a test pressure. This design incorporates features which provide for leak free operation. The vent valve uses a Schrader type valve operated by a vent knob. This vent knob is contained within and concentric with a pressure adjusting knob called a vernier knob. We claim this configuration. The pump also has ergonomically designed handles, which make the use much easier. A stroke adjustment screw is located at the apex of the links to provide for ease of adjustment. The main pressure spring is covered to prevent pinching the palm of the user. Double o-rings are used on the power piston as well. We claim these features as well. To use this device, the user connects the pump and hose to a calibrator and sensor, closes the vent valve, pumps and pressurizes to the desired level. The vernier knob then does fine adjustment of the pressure. When done, the user relieves the pressure, using the vent valve.
