    Abstract: An aortic cannula is presented which comprises two tubes. One of the tubes is for blood perfusion and the other for monitoring arterial pressure. The tubes are outwardly joined yet have distinct lumens at the insertion end of the cannula. The device provides for superior accuracy in monitoring arterial pressure while avoiding complications caused by the Bernoulli principle and peripheral artery monitoring locations.
