  • Patent number: 6349884
Abstract: A process and device for mounting a sub-assembly that includes at least one coating product spray on a mobile part of a robot. The method includes:—engaging a support fast with the mobile part in a ring connected to the sub-assembly;—rotating this ring with respect to this support by bringing first projections provided on the periphery of the ring opposite second projections provided on the periphery of this support; and—displacing a bearing plate, connected to the mobile part, in the direction of this sub-assembly, until the plate exerts a bearing effort on the sub-assembly, the bearing effort being transmitted to the ring, with the result that the first and second projections are brought into mutual engagement.

  • Patent number: 5847945
Abstract: A method and device for monitoring operation of a high voltage generator which converts an input voltage into an output voltage which is higher than the input voltage, by measuring at least one first physical quantity which is representative of the input voltage; deriving at least one parameter from the at least one measured first physical quantity; comparing the at least one parameter with a second measured physical quantity which is representative of the magnitude of the output voltage; and producing a response when a predetermined minimum differential exists between the at least one parameter and the second measured physical quantity.

  • Patent number: 5703770
Abstract: A method and apparatus for generating a high voltage by converting input power at a low voltage to output power at a high voltage, by: supplying input power to a low voltage unit to produce a periodic signal having a frequency; supplying the periodic signal to a rectifier voltage multiplier of a specific type to cause the rectifier voltage multiplier to produce the output power at a high voltage, wherein the ratio of output power to input power is a function of the frequency of the periodic signal; identifying the type of the rectifier voltage multiplier; and continually adjusting the frequency of the periodic signal toward a value which maximizes the ratio of output power to input power.

  • Patent number: 5693143
Abstract: A coating product sprayer device forms an overhead or lateral machine including a member carrying at least one sprayer mobile relative to objects to be coated and at least one lateral gantry carrying this member, which is adjustable in position in an opening in a front of the gantry. This member is moved up and down and/or with a lateral tracking movement by at least one coupling member such as a drive belt. At least one sealing panel closes off at least part of the opening and is fixed to one such flexible coupling member.

  • Patent number: 5106024
Abstract: A coating product sprayer installation enabling a rapid change of coating product. The installation includes two parallel distribution branches each containing a piston or membrane type intermediate storage tank defining an actuation chamber actuated by a liquid, the branches being connected by means of valves between a coating product change unit and at least one coating product sprayer. The apparatus can be used advantageously for electrostatic spraying of conductive coating products.

  • Patent number: 4912588
Abstract: In an electrostatic paint spraying installation or the like, a high-tension voltage generator comprises a voltage rectifier-multiplier in a mobile subsystem and a grounding connection in a fixed subsystem. A conductive wire connects an input terminal of the voltage rectifier-multiplier to the grounding connection. When the high-tension voltage generator operates, a high-frequency alternating current residual signal injected into this conductive wire is sensed and measured. The measured value is compared against a reference value that may be variable. The high-tension voltage generator is disabled if the difference between the measured value and the reference value reaches or crosses a predetermined threshold.

  • Patent number: 4737887
Abstract: An electronic safety device to prevent electrical arcing in electrostatic sprayer apparatus for spraying material such as paint comprises a device for generating a very low voltage AC signal in a fixed supply and control unit and a voltage step-up device in a mobile sprayer. A device sensitive to variations in the alternating current flowing in the conductors linking the generating device to the step-up device is connected to a disabling device capable, for example, of blocking the generating device when too sudden a current variation is measured, since such a current variation may precede electrical arcing.
