    Abstract: A library type bookcase having a base with a generally U-shaped slot thereon for slideably receiving an upper shelving section therein to adjust the height of the bookcase to meet the aesthetics of the owner or the height of the room that it is placed in. The same pins which support the shelves between the sides of the shelving section also serve to fixedly position the shelving section with respect to the base.
