  • Patent number: 11412668
Abstract: A greenhouse comprising a growing section and a climate control system adjacent to the growing section. The climate control system controls the environment within the growing section by flowing ambient air from outside the greenhouse into the growing section, re-circulating air from the growing section back into the growing section, or a combination thereof. A method for controlling the temperature within a greenhouse growing section comprises flowing air into the growing section from outside the greenhouse to reduce the temperature in the growing section. Warm air is flowed into the growing section to increase the temperature in the growing section, and air within the growing section is re-circulated when the temperature therein is at the desired level.

  • Publication number: 20190387691
Abstract: A device is disclosed providing an adjustable endcap for use with distribution conduits in a greenhouse. The device provides a solution to seal off the end of a distribution tube while providing further means to regulate the distribution of substances such as air or gas. The device comprises a structure for sealing the end of a greenhouse distribution tube wherein the sealing structure can be freely adjusted to allow variable amounts of air or gas to escape from the sealed end. The device allows for further regulation of pressure and temperature inside the conduit, extension of climate control over a greater distance and the ability to regulate conduits on an individual basis.

  • Publication number: 20160324078
Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods, systems and devices providing efficient power plant waste energy and waste product recycling for use in other building structures, such as greenhouses. In some embodiments, heat from exhaust gas from a power plant is transferred to a liquid in a condenser, which can also remove impurities and contaminates from the exhaust gas and can increase the carbon dioxide concentration of the exhaust gas. The heated liquid is then used to provide heat to the greenhouse, while the exhaust gas is used to provide carbon dioxide to the greenhouse. In some embodiments, the condenser utilizing “return liquid” from the greenhouse. In some embodiments, the waste heat and waste products can be stored for later use.

  • Publication number: 20140112648
Abstract: An air-handling unit for use in a greenhouse. The unit provides an efficient, sturdy and easily assembled and transported means for drawing air and/or gas into a greenhouse air distribution conduit. The unit also provides an efficient means for adjusting the temperature of air drawn into air distribution conduits by the air handling unit by causing more incoming air to be exposed to an internal temperature-adjustment element. The unit comprises a housing body, an air inlet, an air outlet, a fan, and a temperature-adjustment element.
