The suspension system is configured to provide support under users without any hard edges being present under a plurality of cushions. Further, the suspension system can be lifted or rotated upwards to allow access to a storage system. The modular furniture systems of the present disclosure can be customized to meet a specific aesthetic based on the cushions, left support, and right support selected.
