    Abstract: An interactive system for advising at least one person may be configured to acquire at least one estimated or measured appearance characteristic of a person to be advised. The system may: interrogate a database, the database including information relating to appearance characteristics desired by a reference population as a function of appearance characteristics estimated or measured amongst the individuals of the reference population; and, at least by interrogating the database, as a function of the at least one estimated or measured appearance characteristic, gather information from the database relative to a desired appearance characteristic desired by at least one section of the reference population. The system may also send information to the at least one person to be advised, the information relating to the desired appearance characteristic and/or relating to at least one cosmetic for obtaining the desired appearance characteristic.
