    Abstract: The present invention is a water strippable adhesive composition comprising ethylene vinyl acetate or oxidized ethylene vinyl acetate, and polyvinyl alcohol. A preferred composition additionally contains water and an emulsifier. The composition is useful in a method of using a water strippable adhesive, and in a method of trapping insects.
