Patent number: 11299363Abstract: Example implementations relate to print media stacks. In some examples, a device may include a sheet channel to guide a sheet of print media within the sheet channel above and separated in a vertical direction from a stack of printed media when the sheet of print media exits a print path of a printer. The device may include a plurality of clamps to control alignment of the sheet of print media on the stack of printed media when the sheet channel moves outboard from the sheet of print media to allow the sheet of print media to fall onto the stack of printed media, wherein the plurality of clamps sequentially pin the sheet of print media to the stack of printed media from a middle portion of the sheet of print media outward.Type: GrantFiled: September 15, 2017Date of Patent: April 12, 2022Assignee: Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P.Inventors: Robert Scott Beale, Elliott Downing, Robert Yraceburu, Bruce Johnson, Cristopher Royce Jansson, Stuart Scofield, Francisco Javier Gomez, Jonathon Cha Spafford, Catherine Elizabeth Gould, Tom McCue, Matthew Douglas Reier

Patent number: 11072510Abstract: Example described herein relate to a print shoes. For instance, a print shoe can include a body including a first surface, a first arm extending from the first surface and including a first mounting mechanism to couple to a spring, and a second arm extending from the first surface in a position substantially coplanar with the first arm, where the second arm includes a second mounting mechanism to couple to the spring and dispose the first arm a distance away from the second arm when coupled to the spring.Type: GrantFiled: September 14, 2017Date of Patent: July 27, 2021Assignee: Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P.Inventors: Tom McCue, Lonny Morgan, Catherine Elizabeth Gould, Anthony W Ebersole, Robert Yraceburu, Elliott Downing, Robert Scott Beale, Bruce G Johnson

Patent number: 9878870Abstract: According to an example, to eject print media from an image forming apparatus, a variable page feed velocity of a first page of print media exiting a feed zone is detected. An acceleration value and a deceleration value based on the variable page feed velocity of the first page is calculated. The calculated acceleration is applied to a media movement component in the output zone when the entire first page has cleared a media sensor in the front of the output zone, and the deceleration is applied when the tail end of the first page is in a brake zone. In some examples, a second page of print media and a variable page feed velocity of the second page exiting the feed zone is detected, and the media movement component in the output zone is accelerated to match the variable page feed velocity of the second page.Type: GrantFiled: January 30, 2015Date of Patent: January 30, 2018Assignee: Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P.Inventors: Wesley R Dchalk, Mark H MacKenzie, Bruce A Axten, Francisco Javier Gomez Maurer, Catherine Elizabeth Gould
