The composition comprises at least two bacterial species which decrease the levels of interleukin-17 and/or interleukin-23 in the subject, and/or increase the levels of interleukin-10 in the subject and/or improve gut barrier function in the subject. The at least two bacterial species may comprise Bifidobacterium animalis, Lactobacillus brevis, Lactobacillus reuteri and/or Lactococcus lactis.
