  • Publication number: 20240154994
Abstract: Techniques are described for a computing system to maintain security by (a) detecting updates from a plurality of interrelated systems; (b) with reference to the detected updates and a set of mappings, determining an at-risk account having an improper access level; and (c) in response to determining the at-risk account, providing an alert of the at-risk account to an entity authorized to alter or remove the at-risk account. A system, apparatus, and computer program product for performing this method and similar methods are also described.

  • Publication number: 20210018334
Abstract: Embodiments predict an occurrence of one or more hot sockets among a meter installation of a plurality of smart meters. Embodiments receive historical data over a predefined time period from the plurality of smart meters, the historical data including, for each smart meter, an amount of daily consumption of electricity for the meter, historical meter events for the meter, and all service orders associated with the meter. Embodiments pre-process the historical data to generate hot socket features. Embodiments train a machine algorithm using the hot socket features, and use the trained machine algorithm to predict the occurrence of one or more hot sockets.

  • Publication number: 20140217131
Abstract: A container (10) comprising a body (18) having a cavity (41) for containing a product, a nozzle (16) and a closure (14). The container is opened at the dispensing orifice (43) of the nozzle by severing the closure from the nozzle via manual force from the user. The closure is formed of a mixture comprising high density polyethylene and an inorganic additive that lowers the impact strength and toughness of the high density polyethylene while increasing flexural modulus and hardness. The closure may be unitarily formed with the nozzle as a single piece.

  • Patent number: 7492488
Abstract: An image scanning system and method for a scanner that stores calibration parameters of the scanner in the memory of a control module or a selected system file. The image capturing element directly performs image capturing on the scanning object and through the calibration parameters to perform compensation and calibration process for the captured image such that the scanner needs no pre-scanning or only one pre-scanning to obtain the calibration parameter from empirical value thereby to directly perform image scanning on the scanning object.

  • Publication number: 20020033974
Abstract: An input apparatus and method for a scanner that mounts at least one composite buttons is disclosed. A computer system coupled with the scanner shows a graphic interface according to indications of a button pressed by individual for notifying following functions that are going to perform. Individual may enable required functions via associated graphic interfaces to activate copying scanned images, faxing the scanned images to indicated destinations, uploading the scanned images to indicated web sites, or e-mailing the scanned images to addresses indicated by individual.

  • Publication number: 20020033967
Abstract: An apparatus and method for directly making a computer system that couples with a scanner to connect with an associated web site and for further uploading scanned images by means of one touch action from the scanner is disclosed. Individual may give command in scanner side via one touch action to make the computer system coupled with the scanner to connect with associated web sites. Individual may upload derived scanned images to the connected web sites by means of one touch action in the scanner. Additionally, individual may assign web sites, or confirm/vary URLs of the web sites before uploading the scanned images.
