  • Publication number: 20200021647
Abstract: The present invention detects bidirectional sessions of flows for finding P2P botnets. Unidirectional flows are combined to obtain the bidirectional sessions. The present invention is a method based on Netflow. The purpose is to highlight bidirectional sessions in a unidirectional Netflow log for determining malware activities. In addition, the present invention uses megadata for development and is implemented on MapReduce platform. Through a novel multi-layer unsupervised grouping algorithm for exploring similar bidirectional sessions, activities of the P2P botnet are analyzed. The novel grouping algorithm is coordinated with density-based clustering process to repeatedly analyze the Netflow log. Each algorithm layer extracts out a group and, in the end, collections with similar malicious behaviors are clustered out. At last, an actual Netflow log is used to prove that the present invention has a reliability up to 95%. Thus, the present invention can effectively strengthen national security information.

  • Patent number: 8726327
Abstract: A P2P network has a content provider and a plurality of peers viewing the same video streaming channel. Each peer has a P2P live streaming system. In an exemplary system, a token manager module manages at least a token sent by the plurality of peer nodes, notifies a recording manager module to publish recorded media stream content, and to record media stream data. The recording manager module, according to the notification, manages a corresponding buffer for each peer node itself, records the media stream content into the corresponding buffer and publishes the recorded media stream content information to the P2P network. A P2P module handles the P2P messages and maintains the P2P network topology for the plurality of peer nodes.

  • Patent number: 8199718
Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for splicing multimedia session on communication networks. The apparatus comprises a handoff manager, a session migration manager and a session splicing module. The handoff manager monitors whether a mobile host is roaming to other subnets or not, and acquires a new IP address and issues a control signal when a handoff event is triggered. When a user triggers a migration action, the session migration manager, based on the monitoring status of an ongoing session, sends a state message to a target host for performing session migration, enables a media player, and issues another control signal. The session splicing module respectively receives the two control signals, and performs a corresponding session splicing for each control signal to persist session connection.

  • Patent number: 7948890
Abstract: Communication devices and methods are proposed for providing communication channel. In one example, devices and methods are capable of reaching one or more terminals that are not in a public network. In addition, depending on the network or the networks that the terminals are located, some examples may be capable of establishing a less indirect or a direct communication channel between two terminals after they communicate through an intermediate system. In another example, a triggering packet may be sent to provide a binding at an interface of a private network, such as an NAT, thereby reducing or eliminating communication through a relay server.

  • Patent number: 7174374
Abstract: The present invention discloses a multi-priority media access control method for a multi-channel slotted ring network. In the slotted ring networks, each node has one tunable transmitter and one fixed receiver for data channels, and is able to inspect slot status on all channels. The header slot format defines the slot priorities on ring networks and limits which packets can be transmitted through the slots. By assigning slot priority based on two thresholds to raise and lower slot priority, multiple priority packets can be transmitted.
