  • Patent number: 11229579
Abstract: Devices, assemblies, and methods for arranging and dispensing medication are shown and described. In one embodiment, a medication dispensing assembly includes a first single dose tray having a plurality of dosage complexes and a first label face, and at least a second single dose tray having a plurality of dosage complexes and a second label face. Each dosage complex has a unitary blister pocket adjacent to an L-shaped opening. In other embodiments, a single dose medication tray includes a label platform and a plurality of dosage complex groupings. The result is devices and methods to orient and dispense individually packaged medications.

  • Patent number: 6685073
Abstract: A method and apparatus for separating a wafer into wafer portions comprising a larger wafer flex-frame (50) supported on a support base (40) and a smaller flex-frame (60) positioned within the support base (40). A wafer film transfer cylinder (30) encompasses a wafer breaking device (12), such as a convex dome. The transfer cylinder (30) is slidable downwardly with respect to the dome (12) to first stretch the wafer tape (51) and then transfer the wafer (56) from the larger frame (50) to the smaller frame (60) after dome (12) breaks the wafer (56) into die. The transfer cylinder (30) is heated to facilitate removing the saw tape (51) from the larger frame (50) after transfer to the smaller frame (60). The transfer cylinder (30) is juxtaposed with the smaller frame (60) residing within a cavity (48) of the support base (46). The present invention is suited for automated wafer transfer carriers which advance the broken wafer to pick and place equipment for packaging of the die.

  • Patent number: 5456294
Abstract: A bottle cap having a valve which provides a water tight seal to prevent spillage when a water bottle is inverted for installation onto a water dispenser, but which can be opened after the water bottle is installed by generating a hydraulic shock wave within the bottle to open the valve. A first embodiment has a triple valve seal with mechanical interference between the valve pieces to create an initially water tight seal. A second embodiment employs a dual valve structure. A third embodiment employs a single valve structure. In the first three embodiments, the valves are pivotally attached to the valve body by flexible living hinges. A fourth embodiment has a single linearly sliding valve. Three methods are presented for generating the hydraulic shock wave to open the valve. In the first method, the water bottle is positioned just above the water dispenser and lowered rapidly.

  • Patent number: 4890874
Abstract: A foldable liner of fiberboard having a cruxiform shape having a bottom sheet, side flaps, a front flap, and a tailgate flap, each flap foldable along score lines perpendicular to the sheet to conform the liner to the shape of a pickup truck bed, a pair of wheel well knockouts defined in the bottom sheet and the side flaps to form rectangular popout wheel well covers upon folding the side flaps, the adjacent edges of the folded flaps defining corners which may be joined together rigidly, with at least one fold line whereby the liner may be folded to a smaller size for handling and storage.
