  • Patent number: 6596512
Abstract: A nematode dopamine tansporter cDNA has been cloned, sequenced, and expressed, and provides a convenient screening assay for antiparasitics, as well as psychoactive drugs.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 18, 2000
Date of Patent: July 22, 2003
Assignees: American Cyanamid Company, Vanderbilt University
Inventors: Randy D. Blakely, Cecil M. Eppler
  • Patent number: 5331094
Abstract: The invention relates to a purified somatostatin receptor which is purified at least about 30,000-fold over the receptor which is membrane-bound. The invention also provides pharmaceutical compositions containing the receptor and antibodies to the receptor.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 19, 1992
Date of Patent: July 19, 1994
    Assignee: American Cyanamid Company
Inventors: Cecil M. Eppler, John R. Zysk, Martin J. Corbett, Hong-Ming Shieh
  • Patent number: 5225543
Abstract: The receptor:ligand complex is applied to a solid phase substrate which binds the complex by specifically binding the ligand. The receptor is dissociated from the substrate bound receptor:ligand complex with an eluant capable of releasing the receptor from the ligand and leaving the ligand bound to the solid phase substrate. GTP containing eluants are effective. The receptor is recovered from the eluate and optionally subjected to further purification.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 28, 1991
Date of Patent: July 6, 1993
    Assignee: American Cyanamid Company
Inventors: Cecil M. Eppler, Hong-Ming Shieh, John R. Zysk, Martin J. Corbett
