  • Patent number: 9457315
Abstract: The invention relates to a novel film, membrane or powder media made from fluoropolymers, especially PVDF-based and ETFE-based polymers, which are suitable for separating gases, especially carbon dioxide, from a gas mixture. The novel film has good selectivity, high permeance, good mechanical properties, and exhibits a high resistance to oxidant and acid attack. The separation film is especially useful in harsh and corrosive environments.

Date of Patent: October 4, 2016
    Assignee: Arkema Inc.
Inventors: Ramin Amin-Sanayei, Caiping Lin, Cedric Airaud, John Schmidhauser, Scott R. Gaboury
  • Patent number: 8809471
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for synthesizing 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene containing fluoropolymers using non-fluorinated surfactants in an emulsion process. No fluorinated surfactants are used in the process, and a persulfate initiator is used as the primary initiator. The process produces high molecular weight copolymers.
    Type: Grant

  • Publication number: 20060288170
Abstract: A data processing apparatus and a method for caching data values in data processing apparatus comprising a level one cache and a level two cache is disclosed. Both the level one cache and the level two cache are operable to store the data values. The method comprises the steps of: a) receiving a transaction request in which a data transaction relating to a data value is requested to occur, the transaction request including cache policy attributes associated with an address of the data value; and b) determining from the cache policy attributes whether or not the data value can be stored by the level one cache and the level two cache and, if so, in which one of the level one cache and the level two cache the data value is to be stored in order to ensure that the data value is prevented from being stored in both the level one cache and the level two cache.

  • Patent number: 7152186
Abstract: A data processing apparatus controls cross-triggering of diagnostic processes on a plurality of processing devices. The data processing apparatus comprises a routing module having a plurality of broadcast channels, one or more of the broadcast channels being operable to indicate the occurrence of a diagnostic event on one or more of the plurality of processing devices. The data processing apparatus also comprises an mapping module associated with a corresponding processing device. The interface module programmably asserts diagnostic event signals from the associated processing device to one or more of the plurality of broadcast channels and programmably retrieves diagnostic events signals from processing devices other than the associated processing device from one or more of the plurality of broadcast channels. The retrieved diagnostic event data is used to facilitate triggering of a diagnostic process on the associated processing device in dependence upon said retrieved diagnostic event data.

  • Publication number: 20060224829
Abstract: The present invention provides a data processing apparatus and method for managing cache memories. The data processing apparatus comprises a processing unit for issuing an access request seeking access to a data value, and a hierarchy of cache memories for storing data values for access by the processing unit. The hierarchy of cache memories comprises at least an n-th level cache memory and n+1-th level cache memory which at least in part employ exclusive behaviour with respect to each other. Each cache memory comprises a plurality of cache lines, at least one dirty value being associated with each cache line, and each dirty value being settable to indicate that at least one data value held in the associated cache line is more up-to-date than a corresponding data value stored in a main memory.
