  • Patent number: 9021976
Abstract: The rescue device for the passengers and crew of a ship includes: a container that contains survival equipment; a system that is intended for stowing said container relative to the deck of the ship and contains at least one strap and a system for multimodally attaching and releasing said container; an airbag-type inflatable balloon set up between a structure, secured to the deck, and said container, said structure defining a passage for the passengers when needed; and a means for releasing the airbag set up on the wheelhouse of said ship. The frame-shaped structure is formed of: two side posts; a lower cradle, on which said container rests; an upper crosspiece; and a plate set up inside the ship and acting as a counterbearing for the airbag when said container is ejected.

  • Publication number: 20120100765
Abstract: The present invention relates to an inflatable marine evacuation slide for evacuating people from a ship to at least one inflatable liferaft (or survival raft), as well as rescue equipment for the passengers and/or crew members of a ship, comprising at least one inflatable liferaft, stored folded in the deflated state, together with associated inflation means, in a container around which is wrapped, folded in the deflated state, an inflatable marine evacuation slide according to the invention.

  • Patent number: 7438016
Abstract: The invention relates to methods and devices for launching into the water, from a height H greater than a predetermined height hmax, a life-saving object designed to be able to be launched into the water in free fall from this maximum height hmax. One end of a halyard is fixedly hooked to the life-saving object or to the launch site; the halyard functionally cooperates respectively with the launch site or the life-saving object so that the life-saving object falling by gravity is braked on and/or by the halyard over at least one part (H-hmax) of its drop height. By controlling the braking effect, the life-saving object, falling from the height H in a braked manner over at least one part (H-hmax) of this height hits the surface of the water (5) with a kinetic energy not exceeding that which it would have at the end of a non-braked free fall from at most the height hmax.

  • Publication number: 20070006790
Abstract: The invention relates to means for launching into the water, from a height H greater than a predetermined height hmax, a life-saving means (1) designed to be able to be launched into the water in free fall from this maximum height hmax. One end of a halyard (4) is fixedly hooked to the life-saving means or to the launch site (2); the halyard functionally cooperates (at 7) respectively with the launch site or the life-saving means so that the life-saving means falling by gravity is braked on and/or by the halyard over at least one part (H-hmax) of its drop height. By controlling the braking effect, the life-saving means, falling from the height H in a braked manner over at least one part (H-hmax) of this height hits the surface of the water (5) with a kinetic energy not exceeding that which it would have at the end of a non-braked free fall from at most the height hmax.
