  • Patent number: 8206261
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of transmitting power between a shaft of a heat engine and a wheel axle shaft of a hybrid vehicle. The inventive method involves the use of: a power transmission device comprising an electric machine which is connected to (i) the heat engine by means of a clutch and (ii) a wheel axle shaft; and a starting system which is mechanically independent of the electric machine and which is connected to the heat engine. According to the invention, the heat engine is started by applying a torque to the shaft simultaneously using the starting system and the clutch.

  • Publication number: 20110153134
Abstract: The present invention essentially relates to a method for finding a slip point of a hybrid vehicle (1) having an electrically towed rear axle. In said method, the electrical machine (17), when starting the vehicle, is actuated to provide the vehicle drive, the engine (7) being turned off, the clutch (10) being open, and the transmission (8) being in neutral. Once the speed of the main shaft has reached a threshold (K?1), the acceleration of said main shaft is measured and stored as a reference value, and the closing of the clutch (10) is gradually controlled. Once it has been detected that the change in acceleration (?WAP/?t) of the main shaft relative to the reference value has reached a threshold (K?2), the position of the clutch (10) is stored in order to deduce therefrom the position of the slip point (PP).

  • Publication number: 20080200302
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of transmitting power between a shaft (10) of a heat engine (2) and a wheel (6) axle shaft (12) of a hybrid vehicle. The inventive method involves the use of: a power transmission device (1) comprising an electric machine (4) which is connected to (i) the heat engine by means of a clutch (3) and (ii) a wheel (6) axle shaft (12); and a starting system (31) which is mechanically independent of the electric machine (4) and which is connected to the heat engine (2). According to the invention, the heat engine (2) is started by applying a torque to the shaft (10) simultaneously using the starting system (31) and the clutch (3).
