  • Publication number: 20210328503
Abstract: A method for controlling an electric energy converter, which includes, for at least one first physical quantity of the converter having a variable maximum that is a function of a plurality of possible operating points, each possible operating point being associated with a value of the variable maximum and being defined by a value of at least one operating parameter of the converter: determining a current operating point of the converter from the plurality of possible operating points; determining the value of the variable maximum associated with the current operating point, referred to as a first value; determining a current value of the at least one first physical quantity, referred to as a second value; and activating or not activating a limiter circuit, which limits the at least one first physical quantity, as a function of a result of a comparison between the first value and the second value.

  • Patent number: 7287513
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for controlling the opening and closing of the intake valves of an internal combustion engine with a direct fuel injection system, comprising at least one first intake valve and a second intake valve per cylinder, wherein each valve respectively opening or closing a first and second intake duct per cylinder can be controlled independently of the other valve, wherein at least one of the ducts is supplied with fuel and at least one of the other ducts is not supplied with fuel. According to the invention, said method consists in controlling the valve or valves corresponding to the intake ducts supplied with fuel during the time intervals when the injection system does not function. The invention also relates to a system for the application of said method.

  • Patent number: 7111596
Abstract: The invention relates to a valve operating apparatus comprising a ferromagnetic device connected to the valve and displaceable on a course by which at one end the valve is in the closed position and at another end it is in the open position. The displacement command is performed by means of a first and a second electromagnet and of springs so that the device will be near to the first electromagnet for the closed position and near to the second electromagnet for the open position. Each electromagnet comprises a permanent magnet holding the device at the corresponding end of its course in the absence of current in the winding of the electromagnet. To change the valve from its open position to its closing position or vice versa, a defluxing pulse is applied to the winding of the second or of the first electromagnet opposing the effect of the permanent magnet, the change being carried out, after this pulse, by the sole action of the spring means.

  • Patent number: 7069886
Abstract: The present invention pertains to a device for controlling a valve of an internal combustion engine, the device comprising an electromechanical actuator equipped with a magnet, and a processor controlling a defluxing current generating a magnetic field opposed to the magnetic field of the magnet, characterized in that it comprises means for controlling this defluxing current as a function of the open time of the valve and means for determining the rapidity of opening and/or closing of the valve from this open time, the controlled defluxing current ensuring the determined rapidity of opening and/or closing.

  • Patent number: 7047919
Abstract: The invention concerns a valve operating device for an internal combustion engine, comprising a means connected to the valve and able to be displaced on a course by which, at one end of this course, the valve is in the closed position and at the other end of the course this valve is in the open position. The displacement command is performed by means of a first and a second electromagnet and spring means such that the means is near to a first electromagnet for the closed position of the valve and near to the second electromagnet for the open position of the valve. The first electromagnet is of the polarized type with a permanent magnet permitting the means to be held in the position corresponding to the closed position of the valve in the absence of current in the winding of this first electromagnet. The second electromagnet is such that this position is maintained for a non-zero current in the winding of this second electromagnet.
