Abstract: A system and method for training a system to recognize a user within a video feed and to automatically apply user-preferred device setting values to a camera and/or a lighting device. The method includes training the system to recognize the user's face and allowing the user to select user-preferred device setting values, which result in an optimal exposure for their face within the video feed. The method further includes detecting the face of the user, at a later time, and applying the user-preferred device setting values to a camera and/or lighting device. Such a system may be used in a variety of applications, including video calls.

Abstract: A system includes at least one processor and at least one non-transitory computer-readable media communicatively coupled to the at least one processor. In an embodiment, the at least one non-transitory computer-readable media stores instructions which, when executed, cause the processor to perform operations including receiving a request to insure an item of personal property. The operations also include determining ownership of the item based on information stored on a distributed ledger. The operations also include determining authenticity of the item based on the information stored on the distributed ledger. The operations also include determining a value of the item based on the information stored on the distributed ledger. The operations also include generating an insurance policy for the item based at least in part on the ownership, the authenticity, the value, or any combination thereof.

Abstract: A system and method for intelligent queueing and guidance is disclosed. The system and method can be used to determine when a user should queue and to provide navigation to a queueing location. The system can include a queueing detection and monitoring module, a queue prediction module, a navigation module, and an optimal timing module. The system can be implemented with mobile devices including smart phones, smart watches, and/or other wearable devices.

Abstract: A system and method for automatically adjusting lighting settings to optimize the image quality of a video feed is disclosed. The method includes receiving a video feed from a camera, detecting a face within the video feed, and defining a facial region bounding the detected face. The method also includes analyzing the facial region and determining an image characteristic corresponding to the facial region. The method can also include sending commands to a lighting device to automatically adjust one or more lighting settings based on the value of the image characteristic. Such a system may be used in a variety of applications, including video calls.

Abstract: The disclosed wearable device systems include several features for alerting and guiding persons who are approaching other persons in order to promote social distancing. Sensor data from wearable devices that are disposed in an article of apparel are used to determine the presence of a human person within a detection zone around the article of apparel. The detection zone is created based on sound waves generated by sonar-based proximity detectors mounted on the article of apparel. The system could be used to warn a person who breaches the user's detection zone to maintain a safe distance.

Abstract: An authentication system includes processing circuitry that is configured to receive an indication of a number of interconnected devices that are in communication with a user device, compare the number of interconnected devices that are in communication with the user device to a threshold, and grant access to an application on the user device in response to the number of interconnected devices meeting or exceeding the threshold.

Abstract: A system and method for optimizing the exposure of a video feed is disclosed. The method includes controlling a camera to capture a video feed with alternating exposures for each video frame. Groups of alternating exposures are then merged to create composite images that are used to create a modified video feed.
