Abstract: The invention is an insurance management system and method that can be used to give insurance agents more control over the policies that they sell and/or administer. The system allows agents and other entities to access and manipulate information in accordance with the “intelligence” of insurance experts that is flexibly embedded into the system in the form of automated business rules. An input subsystem can be used to enter, modify, select, and delete data on the system. A policy subsystem can be used to add, update, and delete data relating to insurance contracts, such as reusable template endorsements. A quote subsystem can be used to generate, update, and delete financial data relating to a particular insurance contract or provision.
