The splitter module holding system is configured to add additional splitter modules to a fiber distribution hub cabinet that includes preinstalled optical fiber splitter modules. The splitter module holding system is configured to receive at least four splitter modules and to support the at least four splitter modules from a surface within a fiber distribution hub cabinet that is distinct and separate from the position and location of the preinstalled optical fiber splitter modules.

Abstract: A fiber optic connector comprises a ferrule extending along a longitudinal axis, a ferrule holder having a body in which the ferrule is received and at least one arm extending from the body, and a housing having a passage in which the ferrule holder is received. The passage is shaped to accommodate insertion of the ferrule holder from a front end of the housing, and the housing further includes at least one retention member that cooperates with the at least one arm to retain the ferrule holder in the housing. The at least one arm is configured to flex toward and away from an outer surface of the body to provide a snap-fit coupling between the ferrule holder and housing.

Abstract: A slack cable storage apparatus includes a housing having a top, a bottom, sides, a back extending between the top, bottom and sides thereby defining a storage volume and a cable opening extending through the housing. A spooling assembly is located in the storage volume. The spooling assembly includes a spooling member about which a cable is to be wound. A retainer is moveably connected to the spooling member. The retainer has a cable storing configuration where the retainer overlies a spooling volume adjacent the spooling member and a cable access configuration where the retainer is moved to allow access to the cable when spooled about the spooling member.

Abstract: Fiber optic modules having pigtails and related strain relief constructions for the fiber optic harness are disclosed. The fiber optic module assembly has a fiber pigtail exiting module, the assembly includes a main body of the module defining an internal chamber disposed between a first side and a second side, a plurality of fiber optic components disposed at the first side of the module, and a fiber optic harness including the fiber pigtail. The fiber optic harness includes a plurality of optical fibers within a portion of a protective tube on the pigtail portion and a strain-relief assembly for inhibiting movement between the optical fibers and protective tube. Consequently, the strain-relief assembly secures the plurality of optical fibers and the protective tube to the main body of the module.

The furcation assembly includes a furcation plug having a central, longitudinal axis and an interior sized to accommodate the furcation of the optical fibers. The furcation assembly also has a clip member with a holding feature and at least one mounting feature. The holding feature has a truncated tubular body that holds the furcation plug such that the furcation plug can axially rotate.

Abstract: A mounting assembly for mounting fiber optic equipment to a cable tray is disclosed. The mounting assembly includes a support frame adapted to attach to fiber optic equipment. A mounting device attaches to the support frame. The mounting device is adapted to removably attach the support frame and, thereby, the fiber optic equipment to the cable tray.
