  • Publication number: 20160364726
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for processing transactions made at various merchants to payment accounts issued by other different merchants. One exemplary method generally includes receiving a charge request from a first merchant, relating to a transaction for a product at the first merchant between the first merchant and a consumer, where the charge request includes an identifier associated with a payment account used by the consumer in the transaction and issued by a second merchant. The method also generally includes determining, at a computing device, based on the identifier, a uniform account number (UAN) for the payment account where the UAN is unique to the payment account and defining a format different than a format of the identifier, and then causing, based on the determined UAN, a balance of the payment account to be altered.

Abstract: A service provider computer receives a request for a transfer of a remittance amount from a sender's payment card account to a recipient without an account. The service provider computer transmits a transaction authorization request and a hold on the sender's payment card account for the remittance amount via a payment card system to the sender's financial institution (FI), receives transaction request approval, and establishes a transaction data record. The service provider computer then transmits the transaction identification code to the sender, receives a transaction identification code and a transaction data record validity request from a receiving FI, provides the transaction data record, and receives the transaction identification code and a newly issued recipient payment card account number from the receiving FI.

  • Patent number: 8706633
Abstract: A service provider computer receives a request for a transfer of funds from a sender to a recipient. The service provider computer makes a data record about the transaction available to a receiving financial institution. The receiving financial institution receives a visit from the recipient, issues a new payment card account to the recipient, and communicates the account number for the new account to the service provider computer. The service provider computer initiates a payment transaction in a payment card system to route the requested funds transfer from a payment card account belonging to the sender to the newly issued payment card account for the recipient.

  • Patent number: 4813105
Abstract: A wire bundle or cable clamp primarily adapted for use in the aviation industry is disclosed. The clamp includes a flexible strap having a serrated portion and a strap receiving member on which a pawl having a lever portion and a complementary serrated portion is mounted, with the serrated portion being biased against the strap when a first end of the strap is inserted into and through the strap receiving member. The strap includes an enlarged head at the second end and the strap receiving member includes an opening on one side thereof to receive and hold the enlarged head of the strap when it is inserted in a direction perpendicular to a plane formed by the central axis of the strap when the strap extends around a wire bundle or the like so that the enlarged portion of the strap may be looped around the wire bundle and then inserted into the strap receiving member while the other end is secured in the strap receiving member by the pawl.

  • Patent number: 4549602
Abstract: A rack assembly for mounting one or more plug-in type electronic/electrical modules in an aircraft or the like. The assembly provides mechanical isolation to the modules by way of at least two resilient strips positioned on opposite sides of the shelf on which the modules are mounted. The assembly further includes an air plenum disposed adjacent the underside of the shelf for providing cooling air to the modules. The mechanism for providing mechanical isolation performs the additional function of forming part of the plenum. This dual function feature minimizes the amount of space consumed by the disclosed rack assembly.

The clamp includes a flexible strap having a serrated portion and a strap receiving member to which the strap is mounted onto the strap receiving member and is biased to engage the serrations of the strap. The strap includes an enlarged head at one end and the strap receiving member includes an opening on one side thereof to receive and hold the enlarged head of the strap when it is inserted in a direction perpendicular to a plane formed by the central axis of the strap when the strap extends around a wire bundle or the like so that the enlarged portion of the strap may be looped around the wire bundle and then inserted into the strap receiving member while the other end is secured in the strap receiving member by the pawl. The free end of the strap extending beyond the pawl may then be grasped and pulled to tighten the strap around the wire bundle.
