  • Patent number: 5109649
Abstract: The machine comprises a first station to and from which cassettes are admitted and ejected in single succession, and a second station with mechanically interconnected and simultaneously operated devices, including a first pair serving to open and shut the cassette on the one hand, and a magazine from which new film is dispensed, on the other, and a further pair by which single sheets of exposed and new film are picked up and transferred from the cassette to a collection point, located inside the machine, and from the magazine to the cassette, respectively; another mechanism connects the bay occupied by the magazine with that occupied by the cassette, and permits of adjusting the dimensions of the cassette bay to suit a different size of magazine simply by positioning the magazine between front and rear transverse stops.

  • Patent number: 4539794
Abstract: X ray films are withdrawn from a drawer type magazine positioned above an X ray film cassette unloading station. The films drop down freely from the magazine through a hopper and towards the said X ray cassette. The hopper comprises two substantially U shaped guide elements, one placed opposite the other in such a way as to form two channels along which slide the edges of the two opposite sides of each individual film. One of the elements is fixed, while the other is supported in a sliding fashion by the frame of the machine. The sliding element is able to undergo, in the direction of the fixed guide element, a two way displacement, and is connected to a pusher device provided on the machine for positioning the X ray cassette inserted into the unloading station, up against an abutment member located on the same side of the machine as the fixed guide element.

  • Patent number: 4354336
Abstract: An apparatus provides a magazine (83) for different film formats to reload a radiographic cassette (5), arranged alongside a conveyor (10) of said cassette on the side facing that in which a cassette opening device (34) is arranged. The magazine comprises various film-holding cassettes (109) at different levels, supported by a plate (113), sliding on vertical slides and equipped with a stylus (123), which operates, in succession, a series of level signalling microswitches (121), which, in relation to the format of the cassette (5) detected by devices (31) and (32), makes it possible to have the cassette (109) containing the film (137) of appropriate format moved to a position corresponding to a drive device (80-81) which transfers the film sheets individually into the open cassette (5). Means (34) and (36) open the cover (5c) of the cassette and means (136) detach any film (5a) which may have remain attached to the cover (5c).

  • Patent number: 4049142
Abstract: An automatic machine receives a cassette with an exposed plate, preferably radiographic, unlocks and opens the cassette, unloads the exposed plate, reloads the cassette with a plate of appropriate size, and closes, locks and ejects the cassette. The machine can sense the size of the cassette automatically and adjust to unload and reload such cassette with the appropriate sized plate.
