  • Patent number: 8769884
Abstract: A self-supporting modular panel for dividing spaces and/or supporting furniture elements includes a support structure including a cross-beam and an upright fastened to the cross-beam. The support structure has a plurality of horizontal notches. A first plurality of cover sheets are fastened to the cross-beam so as to provide a rest base, and define a housing volume arranged within the rest base. A second plurality of cover sheets are fastened to the upright of the modular support structure so as to provide a wall having plurality of horizontal grooves which provide a passageway for a bracket mount which can be geometrically coupled to a shaped profile that is accommodated within one of the horizontal notches of the support structure. The rest base, with the housing volume, defines a wiring recess suitable to accommodate a plurality of wires.

  • Patent number: 8011308
Abstract: A telescopic support is disclosed and has outer and inner leg parts. The outer leg part has: a tubular body defining a longitudinal axis and having an interior passage through which the axis extends centrally. The inner leg part has: a shuttle body part disposed at least partially in the tubular body; and rollers rotably mounted to the shuttle body to support the inner leg part for longitudinal reciprocating movement in the tubular body. The support can be secured to a base and topped with a work-surface defining member to form a height-adjustable table, as also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 7921615
Abstract: An improved panel is disclosed. The panel is of the type for use with a bracket and which, in use: forms a wall surface as part of an assembly for partitioning or dividing a space; defines a horizontal groove; and is adapted to releasably, securely, receive, via the horizontal groove, said bracket. The improvement comprises a metal sheet and a metal bolster. The metal sheet has a front and a rear face, the front face defining said wall surface in use and said sheet defining a horizontal slot in use. The metal bolster is secured to the rear face of said metal sheet to define, in combination with the metal sheet, said horizontal groove.

  • Patent number: 7752813
Abstract: A partitioning system is disclosed and includes walls, stands and table tops. In use, each wall has: upper and lower ends; sides spaced apart from one another along a horizontal longitudinal axis; faces spaced apart from one another along a horizontal lateral axis normal to the longitudinal axis. Further, each wall, in use, defines: a longitudinal slot extending from one side to at least partially divide at least one of the faces; and a channel for said slot, said channel extending from the lower end of the wall, between the faces, to said slot to define a void in said wall. Each stand, in use, has: a ground-engaging base; an upright extending from the base within a channel; and a support arm extending transversely from the upright through the slot for which the channel is provided. Each table top is supported in use by one or more support arms.

  • Publication number: 20090056228
Abstract: Disclosed is a system for use with a wall having a longitudinal length, a height and a lateral thickness and a door having a width, a height and a thickness. The system comprises a support assembly and a support. The assembly includes: a first portion secured, in use, to said wall, to define an axis; and a second portion secured to said door in use and mounted to the first portion to support said door, when said door is supported otherwise than by the second portion at least as against pivotal movement about the axis, for axial movement between a retracted position whereat a portion of said door is disposed laterally from the wall and an extended position whereat said portion cantilevers axially beyond said wall. The support secures, in use, said door to said wall to support said door at least against pivotal movement about the axis.
