  • Patent number: 11681492
Abstract: An audio system presented herein includes a transducer array, sensor array, and a controller. The controller control tactile content imparted to a user via actuation of at least one transducer in the transducer array while presenting audio content to the user. The transducer array presents the audio content with the tactile content to the user. The audio system can be part of a headset.

  • Patent number: 11670321
Abstract: A system includes a headset to capture sound and a visual signal of a local area including one or more sound sources. The system determines a strength of the audio signal and a portion of the visual signal associated with the audio signal, compares the strengths, selects the weaker signal, and augments the weaker signal. The headset accordingly presents augmented audio-visual content to a user, thereby enhancing the user's perception of the weak signal.

  • Patent number: 11385716
Abstract: An apparatus for creating and tuning haptic feedback is provided. The apparatus includes (A) a brace with first and second portions, (B) a vibrotactile actuator, coupled to the first portion of the brace, configured to apply haptic stimulations to a user, and (C) a linear actuator, coupled to the second portion of the brace, configured to (i) obtain a signal generated based on information about the user's body at a target location of the user and (ii) adjust a tension of the brace according to the signal. In some embodiments, the apparatus also includes one or more sensors configured to generate the information about the user's body at the target location. Furthermore, a controller may be configured to: (i) generate the signal based on the information about the user's body at the target location generated by the one or more sensors and (ii) provide the signal to the linear actuator.

  • Patent number: 11234090
Abstract: An audio-video correspondence system performs a correspondence analysis between audio and video content. The system obtains video content that includes audio content, the video content comprising a plurality of frames. The system identifies a first set of pixels within the video content associated with changes in pixel values over a first set of frames of the video content. The system subsequently identifies, from the audio content, first audio associated with the first set of frames corresponding to changes in pixel values of the first set of pixels. The system finally assigns the first audio over the first set of frames to the first set of pixels.

  • Publication number: 20210327453
Abstract: A system includes a headset to capture sound and a visual signal of a local area including one or more sound sources. The system determines a strength of the audio signal and a portion of the visual signal associated with the audio signal, compares the strengths, selects the weaker signal, and augments the weaker signal. The headset accordingly presents augmented audio-visual content to a user, thereby enhancing the user's perception of the weak signal.
