  • Publication number: 20070104966
Abstract: The invention concerns a metal laminate comprising between two outer metal sheets an adhesive polymer layer, characterised in that the adhesive polymer layer comprises cross-linked polyethylene or a copolymer thereof, grafted with an unsaturated carboxylic acid an anhydride and/or an ester derivative thereof. The invention further concerns a process for the manufacture of such a metal laminate and the use of such metal laminates for the manufacture of automotive body parts.

  • Patent number: 6673468
Abstract: The invention concerns a composite material in band or slab form made of two cover plates (1, 2), made of steel, which can be resistance welded together via electrically conductive bodies (4), and an intermediate layer (3) made of a filler material in which the bodies (4) are embedded, with the bodies (4), which are implemented as curved slugs, lying pressed flat between the cover plates (1, 2). This type of composite material is produced in that the filler material (3′) for the intermediate layer (3) is applied as a paste to a band (1′) serving as the first cover plate (1) as it passes by and the curved slugs (4′) are, after being laid on the filler material (3′), pressed into it at least until contact is made via a band (2′) supplied as the second cover plate (2) in a welding gap (8) formed by two roller electrodes (6,7) of a resistance welding device and the slugs are largely pressed flat with the bands (1′, 2′) during welding.

  • Patent number: 6656305
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for producing an enamel baked molded component made from a double-layer plate comprising two cover plates with an intermediate epoxy resin layer that is glued to the cover plates. The process comprises introducing the epoxy resin between the cover plates prior to its polymerization to maintain an adhesive connection between the cover plates and the intermediate layer, while at the same time allowing for deformation of the double-layer plate by deep-drawing in particular without subjecting the cover plates to excessive stress. The epoxy resin that is used polymerized exclusively at the enamel baking temperatures, being coherent but not polymerized when the double-layer plate is deformed, while the enamel layer is baked only after the deformed component is lacquered, whereby said baking occurs at a temperature at which polymerization of the epoxy resin of the intermediate layer also occurs.

  • Patent number: 6428905
Abstract: The invention relates to a double-layered sheet comprising two cover sheets (1, 2) with a space between them, and a fill material (3) which fills the space between said cover sheets. Said fill material is made of plastic, in particular of porous duroplastic plastic, comprising embedded hard bodies (6, 7, 8, 9). In order to obtain the best possible geometrical moment of inertia while keeping the weight per surface area low, and in particular in order to prevent shearing out under pressure, of the cover sheet (1) acting as a compression chord, during pressing together of the double-layered sheet, the fill material is characterised by at least two stress/strain characteristic curves. In particular the fill material comprises pores which are sealed off from each other.

  • Publication number: 20010025407
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for the production of a double-layer metal sheet, more particularly a lacquered shaped construction member comprising such a double layer metal sheet, for example, for the outer skin of a motor vehicle, having an intermediate layer (6) of epoxy resin glued to the two smooth cover sheets (7, 10). After the introduction between the cover sheets (7, 10) of the intermediate layer (6) and of spots (16), distributed over the surface, of an epoxy resin polymerizing at a lower temperature than the epoxy resin of the intermediate layer (6), the cover sheets (7, 10) are fixed spatially in relation to one another by the polymerization of the epoxy resin of the spots (16). Then the resulting composite is shaped. Finally the shaped constructional member (15) obtained is lacquered and the epoxy resin of the intermediate layer (6) polymerized during stove enamelling.

  • Patent number: 6153576
Abstract: Described are complexes of the transition metals manganese, iron, cobalt, ruthenium, molybdenum, titanium, vanadium and/or copper containing one or more ligands of general formula (I) ou (II)in which R is a direct bond or an optionally amin-group-substituted alkylene group with 1 to 4 C-atoms, A is a condensed or non-condensed ring system containing at least one nitrogen atom, B is hydrogen, an OH-group or the same as A, and X is a phenyl ring optionally substituted with and/or C.sub.1-4 alkyl or an optionally hydroxy-substituted C.sub.1-4 alkylene group. The complexes are suitable for use as activators or peroxy compounds in oxidative washing, cleaning and disinfectant solutions, washing and cleaning agents preferably containing 0.0025 to 0.25% by wt. of such activator complexes.
