  • Publication number: 20220410700
Abstract: A fuel system is provided that includes a mounting block assembly configured to support an end of a fuel tank. The end of the fuel tank has a boss. The mounting block assembly encloses a space configured to receive the boss of the fuel tank. The fuel system also includes a bearing disposed in the space. The bearing has a support surface configured for sliding support of the boss of the fuel tank at an interface between the first portion and the second portion of the mounting block assembly. The fuel system also includes a sleeve. The sleeve is removably coupled to the boss of the fuel tank such that the sleeve is restrained longitudinally relative to the boss. The sleeve is configured to slide longitudinally relative to the support surface when the boss and sleeve are disposed on the support surface within the space of the mounting block assembly.

  • Patent number: 11169551
Abstract: A system includes a first valve fluidly connected to a first vessel and a second valve fluidly connected to a second vessel. The first valve includes a body and a piston. The body includes first and second ports and a bore having a longitudinal axis. The first port is in communication with the bore and an interior of the first vessel. The second port is in communication with the bore, the second valve, and an atmosphere exterior to the first vessel. The piston is movable along the longitudinal axis of the bore. A first position of the piston blocks the first port; a second position of the piston allows fluid communication between the first and second ports. The first valve is configured so that fluid pressure from the second valve, communicating through the second port, urges the piston to the second position.

  • Patent number: 10544901
Abstract: A pressure vessel includes a shell, a liner, and a boss. The liner is positioned within the shell and defines the interior environment. The boss is located at a first interface between the shell and the liner. The boss includes a cavity and a venting structure located in the cavity. The cavity is located at a second interface between the liner and the boss, and the cavity is located at an interior surface of the boss in communication with the interior environment. A gas vent path is defined from the first interface, through the venting structure, and into the interior environment of the pressure vessel. The disclosure also describes a boss for a pressure vessel and a method of manufacturing the boss. The boss includes a port, a flange, a cavity and a gas venting structure. The cavity and gas venting structure are located on an interior of the flange.
