  • Patent number: 10065815
Abstract: A proppant tower comprising: a main body configured to be in a substantially vertical orientation in a working position; a base mounted on a bottom end of the main body, such that the main body rests on the base when in the working position; a bin disposed within the main body; and an outlet having two ends, the first end radially extending from the main body below the bin and in fluid communication with the bin and the second end being open, such that particulates are discharged from the bin into the first end of the outlet and out of the second end of the outlet, wherein the outlet radially extends from the main body at a location on the main body that permits at least four proppant towers to be arranged about a single particulate collection device.

  • Patent number: 10018020
Abstract: Methods and systems wherein a first setpoint is used with a controller to translate the setpoint into a desired flow rate from a pump and used to determining an optimized command signal associated with the first setpoint with a process control system, the process control system configured to incorporate at least a first setpoint and a measurement signal to produce the optimized command signal. The optimized command signal is then stored in a memory of the computer. When the first setpoint is again desired, the optimized command signal associated with the first setpoint is read from the memory and transmitted to the pump.

  • Publication number: 20170070039
Abstract: This invention relates to electrical junction box covers for temporary use during application of drywall and other finish work. Electrical junction boxes include any type of electrical outlet or switch box, including communication boxes for cable, Ethernet, phone, or any other related system. The covers of the invention prevent debris from entering the electrical junction boxes during the application of drywall and finish work. The covers protect electrical and data cabling and provide substantial efficiencies in construction of residential and commercial structures.

  • Patent number: 8230719
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a method for multidimensional gas chromatography for separating the analytes of a complex sample. The method comprises the steps of introducing the sample onto a first column whereby the sample is separated into at least two segments, introducing at least one segment into a heartcut device whereby the segments are selectively separated into at least two heartcut fractions, introducing at least one of the fractions onto a second column whereby at least one fraction is further separated into at least two analytes, introducing at least one analyte from the second column to a gas chromatography connector, introducing the analyte from the connector to a third column, and introducing the analyte from the third column into a detector whereby the analyte is analyzed and identified.

  • Publication number: 20100254214
Abstract: Methods and systems for blending fluids used in subterranean operations are disclosed. A first portion of a fluid component of the slurry is passed through a non-slurry pump in a first process line. A second portion of the fluid component of the slurry is passed to a mixing tub in a second process line. A solid component is added to the second portion of the fluid component of the slurry in the mixing tub. The second portion of the fluid component of the slurry is mixed with the solid component in the mixing tub so that the second portion of the fluid component of the slurry has a higher concentration than a desired downhole concentration. The output of the mixing tub is pumped through a slurry pump. The output of the slurry pump is diluted by adding the first portion of the fluid component of the slurry from the first process line and the diluted mixture is directed to a high pressure pump.
