Abstract: A surface cleaning apparatus with a removable compartment is provided that allows a dust cup in the removable compartment to be emptied while minimizing handling by the user. The removable compartment is removably secured within the surface cleaning apparatus. The removable compartment can be removed by activating a first trigger device. The dust cup can be emptied by activating a second trigger device.

Abstract: A steam stop safety mechanism for a portable steam cleaner prevents discharge of steam at the cleaner nozzle when attaching and disconnecting attachments, even if the cleaner trigger is in a locked open position. The mechanism includes a steel pin that is displaced in an extended position against a shoulder in the nozzle to prevent pressurized steam from escaping the nozzle. Attachment couplings include a pin retractor plate with a central hub that pushes the pin away from the shoulder to allow the steam to flow through openings in the retractor plate and out a concentrator or attachment hose that has a trigger to release steam as desired.

To do so, the system of the invention defines a data element having a value for use by a first application logic entity in a first browser page. The system then dynamically generates a browser page identifier for a second browser page which includes state information such as values for data elements defined in the first browser page. The system then invokes access to the second browser page within a browser using the browser page identifier that was dynamically generated. When the browser loads the second browser page, and logic entity in the second browser page of the invention retrieves the value of the data element from the browser page identifier used by the browser to retrieve the second browser page.
