Patent number: 10920177Abstract: The present invention relates to compositions of benefit agent containing delivery particles and slurries comprising benefit agent containing delivery particles, compositions comprising the particles, and processes for making and using the aforementioned particles and compositions. Such slurries and benefit agent containing delivery particles are stable and when employed in compositions, for example, cleaning or fabric care compositions, the particles in such slurries increase the efficiency of benefit agent delivery, thereby allowing reduced amounts of benefit agents to be employed. In addition to allowing the amount of benefit agent to be reduced, such particles allow a broad range of benefit agents to be employed. The compositions can comprise particles, cakes, powders, particulates, aggregates, aggregate clusters and slurries comprising the benefit agent containing delivery particles.Type: GrantFiled: March 28, 2018Date of Patent: February 16, 2021Inventors: Johan Smets, Corey James Kenneally, Ariel Lebron, Pascale Claire Annick Vansteenwinckel, Robert Stanley Bobnock, Peggy Dorothy Sands, Todd Arlin Schwantes, Chad Alexander Hladilek

Patent number: 10681309Abstract: A non-Skype multipoint control unit (MCU) is configured to operate differently for handling incoming streams from endpoints and outgoing streams from a Skype multipoint control unit. When passing incoming streams from non-Skype endpoints to a Skype conference, the non-Skype MCU acts as a gateway, passing the streams to Skype MCU as if they were coming from Skype endpoints. When receiving outgoing streams from Skype MCU, the non-Skype MCU acts as an MCU, transcoding, compositing, and scaling streams into continuous presence layouts for delivery to the non-Skype endpoints. Thus, non-Skype endpoints can participate in Skype conferences as if they were Skype endpoints, allowing a better user experience for both Skype endpoints and non-Skype endpoints.Type: GrantFiled: March 29, 2018Date of Patent: June 9, 2020Assignee: Polycom, Inc.Inventors: Jeffrey Adams, Eric Nylander, Damian Diaz, Chad Alexander, Joanne Kubischta, George David, Matt Parker, Jozef Saniga, Ryan Hermanson

Publication number: 20160222719Abstract: Decorative panel assemblies and associated methods for forming and installing decorative panel assemblies are provided. One or more decorative panels may be provided, and each panel may include a front surface forming one or more decorative surfaces and a back surface including an at least partially flat surface area for abutting a flat surface to which the decorative panel is applied. Additionally, as desired, a template may be provided for applying the one or more decorative panels to the flat surface, the template sized based at least in part upon the size of the one or more decorative panels.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 12, 2016Publication date: August 4, 2016Inventor: Chad Alexander Overton

Patent number: 9402672Abstract: A joint distraction device for use in an arthroscopic surgery is provided. The device has a joint distraction mechanism, situated in between two bone fixation surfaces, and is capable of changing the relative distance between these two surfaces. The force generated by the mechanism should be sufficient to insert bone spikes affixed to the surfaces into bone, as well as distract the joint to create a sufficient enough gap to allow the intended procedure. With the surfaces and spikes engaged to bone at opposite sites of a joint, an increase in distraction force results in an increase in the relative distance results, hence increasing the space within the joint. Embodiments of this invention, compared to fracture table approaches, effectively eliminate the risk of pudendal nerve injury, allow for longer surgical times, and allow for much more controllable joint distraction.Type: GrantFiled: October 31, 2014Date of Patent: August 2, 2016Assignee: THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE LELAND STANFORD JUNIOR UNIVERSITYInventors: Eric Fayez Chehab, Archana Appukuttan Nair, Chad Alexander Sitgraves, Marc Raymond Safran
